Therapeutic Framework

HEALING JUSTICE

& LIBERATION FOCUSED

Our therapeutic philosophy merges healing justice and a liberation-focused counseling approach to create a framework that not only addresses individual healing but also actively engages with generational healing and broader social justice issues. This integrative approach recognizes the interplay between personal well-being, familial and cultural lineage, and social environment, aiming to empower individuals while advocating for collective liberation. We uplift an approach that is culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, neurodiversity-affirming, and weight-inclusive with body acceptance. We prioritize self-care, community care and support, and collective healing.

By emphasizing the interconnectedness of personal and societal well-being, this integrative approach aims to empower individuals while contributing to positive social change. We recognize the inseparable link between personal healing and the pursuit of collective liberation. We challenge the influence of colonial structures on mental health practices, through emphasizing cultural humility and valuing diverse cultural perspectives, traditions, and healing practices. Our practice strives to create therapeutic spaces that are inclusive, respectful of cultural diversity, and that empower individuals to reclaim and embrace the many aspects of their identities.
