Brandi Glenn, MEd LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, Dialectical Behavior Therapist, Substance Use Disorder Therapist
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
I identify as a Black, cisgender woman. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and my primary language is English.
Background & Approach:
Hey y’all! I believe therapy works best when it feels real and authentic. Authenticity is something I deeply value, and I hold the same expectation for the work we do together. I invite clients to show up as they are, so we can engage honestly and fully in the process. My approach is change-oriented and pragmatic, which helps create a space where clients can be themselves while also moving toward growth. Clients often describe me as warm and approachable, while also being straightforward when it matters.
I have worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, substance use, and major life transitions. I especially value supporting BIPOC clients and those living with diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, with a partner, or with your family, my goal is to collaborate with you in finding solutions that feel meaningful and sustainable.
Theoretical & Clinical Orientation:
I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My work is grounded in authenticity, genuine connection, and a deep belief in the power of community. I primarily utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrate Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients across different stages of change, and draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions to provide practical skills for managing anxiety. I bring extensive training in substance use recovery and also incorporate the Gottman Method when working with couples to help strengthen communication, trust, and intimacy.
At the heart of my practice are the values of being real, building meaningful connections, and supporting people in forming and maintaining community. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to live in alignment with their truest selves.
